Noble Automotive Ltd, more commonly known as Noble, is a British sports car manufacturer based in Leicester, England. Noble Automotive Ltd. was established in 1999 by chief designer and part owner Lee Noble in Leeds, West Yorkshire, for producing high-speed sports cars with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout.

The Noble M12 GTO-3R is a two-door, two-seat sports car developed by Lee Noble and manufactured by Noble Automotive. The M12 GTO-3R evolved through four versions of Noble cars (M12 GTO, M12 GTO-3, M12 GTO-3R, and M400). Only 220 Noble GTO-3Rs and M400s were imported to the United States and are the only Nobles available to the American market. The body and chassis of the Noble were built by Hi-Tech Automotive in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The US production rights to the M12s and M400s were sold in February 2007 to 1G Racing from Ohio.

The Noble M12 was originally planned as both coupé and convertible models (M12 GTC). All M12 models have been powered by modified bi-turbocharged Ford Duratec V6 engines. The M12 has a full steel roll cage, steel frame, and G.R.P. (fiberglass) composite clam shell body parts. Although looking to be track derived, the M12 is a street-legal vehicle, ready for both road and track. The M12 has no anti-roll bars, allowing for a comfortable feel.

The Noble M12 GTO-3R is equipped with Garrett T25 twin turbos. Weight is 2,381 lb (1,080 kg). Acceleration from 0-60 mph (97 kph) in 3.7 seconds was published in the official brochure of the M12 GTO-3R although Road & Track indicated a 0-60 mph (97 kph) performance of 3.3 seconds, but subsequently listed it as 3.5 seconds. Top speed is listed as 185 mph (298 kph) and lateral Gs are reported in excess of 1.2g.

The Boxster S engine produces 232 kW (315 hp) at 6,700 rpm, the 3.4-litre flat-six engine with direct fuel injection (DFI) and VarioCam Plus delivers a mighty 37 kW (50 hp) and 80 Nm more than the engine in the Boxster. Maximum torque of 360 Nm is available from 4,500 to 5,800 rpm. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 279 km/h can be achieved. Nevertheless, the dynamic performance of the Boxster S can be further enhanced. With the optional Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the Boxster S reaches 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and boasts a top speed of 277 km/h. The Launch Control feature of the optional Sport Chrono Package reduces the time to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h to just 4.8 seconds.
